Canberra B.62 repaint B-105

This repaint represents B.Mk.62, B-105, Grupo 2 de Bombardeo, Fuerza Aerea Argentina, based at BAM Parana, Entre Rios, Argentina, shortly after the end of the Falklands War. It carries the controversial kill marking of the VLC Hercules, a Liberian-regisered, US-owned tanker that Argentine intelligence believed was supplying the UK Task Force. It was attacked in a mixed force of Canberras and a C-130 Hercules on 8th June, 1982, and scored a hit with a 1,000lb bomb in the foward section of the ship. The bomb did not explode however, and after making it back to port, it was later scuttled. The US government sued Argentina after the war, and the marking was later removed. B-105 was retired in July 1998 as a gate guardian outside BAM Mar del Plata. Note this repaint is for the B.62 bombs model.

Canberra T.64 repaint B-112

This repaint represents T.Mk.64, B-112, Grupo 2 de Bombardeo, Fuerza Aerea Argentina, as seen in the early 1970s, BAM Parana, Entre Rios, Argentina, 1974. This aircraft was damaged on landing in March 1993 when the undercarriage failed to lower, resulting in sufficient damage to warrant its retirement. It is currently preserved as a monument outside BAM Parana since 1998, but is in very poor condition.
