Canberra TT.18 repaint WK128

This repaint represents Canberra B.2 WK128 of the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE), based at Llanbedr, May 1990. WK128 was built as a B.2 in 1954, following which in 1959 it was struck off RAF charge to become a purely trials aircraft with RRE, taking part in various guided weapons fusing research programs as well as laser designation trials. In 1978, WK128 moved to Royal Aircraft Establishment/Flight Refuelling charge at Llanbedr. During its stay with RAE (latterly DRA) this long-lived Canberra has been converted to TT.18 configuration but retained the B.2 designation. During this work she was the second oldest flying Canberra in UK service. WK128 was written off in 2004. Note: while representing a modified B.2, this repaint is for the TT.18 model.
